HipSTR Executive Board
HipSTR is directed and guided by an executive board that is led by HipSTR’s founder, Dr Marc R. Safran. The HipSTR Executive Board manages the daily operations and forward guidance of the registry. The HipSTR Board is comprised of world-renown surgeons in the area of hip arthroscopy and hip preservation research.

In addition to the Executive Board and its Consultants, a Research Committee has been convened to formalize the process, evaluate and review proposals for research using the HipSTR database. This committee will be chaired by Dr. Stephen Aoki, and will include Dr Femi Ayeni, who holds a PhD in Epidemiology, Dr. Marc Safran, founder of HipSTR, and new additions, Dr. Jorge Chahla, who holds a PhD in Biomechanics, Dr. James Genuario, who has a Masters Degree in Health Policy, and Dr. Josh Harris, former Associate Editor of the Journal of Arthroscopy.
